Eye Examination
We always recommend a comprehensive full eye examination which can take 30 minutes or more. This allows us to understand your eyes, your vision requirements and your lifestyle, and will provide adequate time to look at the health of your eyes. During your appointment we will take the time to discuss your results and answer any eye-related questions you may have.
Visual Fields
We have the equipment on-site to conduct visual fields testing. This test checks your peripheral vision and looks for blind spots in your vision. You may be requested by VicRoads or your GP for a visual fields test, or your optometriust. Allow 30 minutes for this consultation.
Retinal Imaging
This digital image documents the back of your eyes (including the blood vessels, macula, optic nerve and retina). This test enhances your comprehensive eye examination as it helps with the early detection and management of certain eye diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and hypertension. Images will be stored for reference in case of any changes noted in your future eye examinations.
Diabetes
For those with diabetes, painless and sometimes unnoticeable changes can occure in your eyes. This is know as diabetic retinopathy, and can result in permanent vision loss if left untreated. The risk of developing diabectic retinopathy increases with the length of time you have had diabetes. Because of this, it is important to have a regular dilated eye examination as part of your diabetes health care plan. Following your consultation, we will provide a report to your GP to update them on your results and recommended management.
Lens Consultant
Bellocchio gives you the option and has the solution to your eyecare needs. Each person has individual requirements and places different demands on thier glasses. During your consultation, together we will spend valuable time to determine your requirents and recommend the correct lenses to you. Aswell as demonstrate different aspects and properties of lenses.
